Kevin Lee White, 47, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion of University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.
Kevin was born September 18, 1966 at the McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Robert Charles and Diane Marie (Kraus) White. He grew up in Natoma, Dorrance and Russell. He graduated from Russell High School in 1985.
Kevin was the owner and operator of K.W. Welding for many years. He also has worked as a hunting guide for elk, deer and bear in Wyoming and Colorado and worked at Raw Hide Ranch in Arizona where he worked and broke horses. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working with horses and BS’in with his friends and family.
Surviving family include his daughter, Shaylee Jewel Maloley of New Castle, Colorado; fiancé Tami Maier of Russell, Kansas; step children, Brittany Coleman and Shelby Coleman of Russell, Kansas; brothers, Brad White and C.H. White (Jennifer) all of Russell, Kansas; sister, Cristine Davila (Arnaldo) of Tulsa, Oklahoma: step granddaughter, Danikah Coleman of Russell, Kansas; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Chad White.
Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 27, 2014 at St. Mary, Queen of Angels Catholic Church of Russell. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 5 PM Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary. The Vigil & Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday at St. Mary, Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
