Linda Diane Foster, 59 of Lucas, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas
Linda was born May 8, 1950 in Norton, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Helen (Johnson) Skrdlant. She grew up in Norton and graduated from Norton High School in 1968.
Linda was united in marriage to Albert Foster on September 1, 1969 in Lincoln, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two sons, Brad and Brent.
Linda was a devoted homemaker, mother and friend. She was also a very talented and creative artist whose work included custom made teddy bears, stained glass, antique trunk restoration and folk art paintings.
Linda lived most of her life in Kansas, most recently in the towns of Kanorado and Lucas, Kansas.
Surviving family include her husband of 40 years, Albert of the home; two sons, Brad Foster and wife Heather of Mulvane, Kansas and Brent Foster and wife Natasha of Tribune, Kansas; mother, Helen Rohr of Goodland, Kansas; four brothers, Roger Skrdlant, Dale Skrdlant, Allen Skrdlant and Phillip Skrdlant; three sisters, Pat Krien, Paula Kear and Jody DeHart; and nine grandchildren.
Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Mountain time or Noon Central time Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Kanorado United Methodist Church of Kanorado, KS. There will be no visitation, cremation took place before the service. Memorials have been established with the Kanorado Senior Center or the Kanorado Community Museum.
