Donald H. Burton, 97, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Main Street Manor of Russell. Donald was born June 2, 1925 in Hays, Kansas.  He was the son of Harold N. and Helen M. (Truan) Burton.  They lived in Hays and moved to Russell when he started school.  He graduated from Russell High School in 1943. Donald served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1943 to 1945.  He was a Bombardier Navigator and a Flying Warrant Officer.  After his tour of duty, he returned to Kansas and attended Kansas University School of Pharmacy

James Lee “Jimmy” Bosch, 65, of Hays, Kansas, died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. Jimmy was born on November 15, 1956, in Russell, Kansas, the son of John Edward, Sr. and Gwendolyn LaRue (Briley) Bosch.  He grew up in Gorham, Kansas, and graduated from Gorham High School.  He was born with a disability and attended a special school in Wichita for several years. Betty Ann (Schwien) Radke was born August 19, 1932 in Russell County, Kansas, the daughter of Sigmund and Lydia (Bender) Schwien. Betty passed away July 18, 2022 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas at the age of 89 years and 11 months. Betty was baptized September 18, 1932 and confirmed April 14, 1946 in the Bender Hill Church. Betty was united in marriage with Hubert S. Radke at the United Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Milberger, Kansas on June 12, 1949. Betty was a dedicated farmer’s wife and devoted mother of four children. She worked along side her husband

Dona was born July 6, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Donald and Lyla (Bruner) Fowler.  She grew up in Wichita and graduated from North High School. Dona was united in marriage to Larry Bender on March 21, 1981 in Milberger, Kansas.  They made their home on a farm south of Russell. Thomas Lloyd Beatty, 74, of Luray, Kansas, went to Heaven with the Lord, on Sunday, July 03, 2022, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, Kansas after a valiant battle with numerous health issues. Bonnie Jean (Coleman) Kelly, 90, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at Main Street Manor in Russell. She was born September 27, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Allen and Irma (Callahan) Coleman.  Bonnie grew up in Omaha, graduating from Technical High School and continuing on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Omaha University in 1953.  While attending the university, she was active in the modern dance company. In August of 1953, Bonnie married Joseph M. Kelly, in Omaha, and began teaching art in the Omaha Public School system before they were blessed with four children:
