Howard Roland Northcutt, 69, of Hays, Kansas and formerly of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away at his residence in Hays. Roland was born June 7, 1950 in Vincent, Alabama.  He was one of eight children born to Ras Howard and Ruthie Thelma (Abbott) Northcutt.  He grew up in Vincent and graduated from Vincent High School.  He then attended a Welding Trade School. Viola was born March 3, 1926 in Hodgeman County, Kansas. She was one of six children born to John Henry and Bertha (Bitter) Niedens. She grew up in the Hodgeman Co. area and attended school there until moving to Barton County, Kansas as a teenager.
