Howard Roland Northcutt, 69, of Hays, Kansas and formerly of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away at his residence in Hays. Roland was born June 7, 1950 in Vincent, Alabama.  He was one of eight children born to Ras Howard and Ruthie Thelma (Abbott) Northcutt.  He grew up in Vincent and graduated from Vincent High School.  He then attended a Welding Trade School. Marilyn Rhea (Somers) Barrett, 90, of Pratt, Kansas, and formerly of Paradise, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Pratt Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pratt. Marilyn was born August 25, 1929 in Altoona, Kansas.  She was one of five children born to Rhea Moore and Thelma Doris (Davis) Somers.  She grew up in Altoona, Paradise, Bird City, Kansas, Spring, Kansas and Ensign, Kansas.  She attended and graduated from Ft. Della Dean Post, 94, of Russell, Kansas, died on Friday, May 01, 2020, at the Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell, Kansas. Della was born on October 02, 1925, in Dorrance, Kansas, the daughter of Frank E., Sr. and Rachel Pearl (Warehime) Sanders.  She grew up in Dorrance and graduated from Dorrance High School in 1944.  She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Dale R. Ann Elizabeth (Stoppel) Gilbreath, 90, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Main Street Manor in Russell. Ann was born January 12, 1930 on a farm south of Dorrance Kansas.  She was one of five children born to Alexander and Bertha (Galyardt) Stoppel.  The family then moved to Lucas Kansas where she attended school and graduated from Lucas High School. Shortly after graduating from High School, Ann moved to California where she went to school and lived in Southern California until 2015, when she moved back to Kansas to be near family. Viola Rosetta (Niedens) Dumler, 94, of Salina, Kansas and formerly of Russell, Kansas, went to her Heavenly home, Friday, April 17, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Salina. Viola was born March 3, 1926 in Hodgeman County, Kansas. She was one of six children born to John Henry and Bertha (Bitter) Niedens. She grew up in the Hodgeman Co. area and attended school there until moving to Barton County, Kansas as a teenager. Viola was united in marriage to Victor Leroy Dumler on December 8, 1946 in Milberger, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children; Donna, Wanda and Darrell.

Mark David Rein, 55, of Overland Park, Kansas, died on Monday, April 13, 2020, at the Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. Mark was born on April 17, 1964, in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of Marlin L. Rein and Dianne R. Colhour-Farmer.  He grew up in Topeka, Kansas, and graduated from Topeka West High School in the class of 1982.  Later, he graduated from DeVry University with a BS degree in Telecommunications.  He worked for Gateway and Sprint. Mark loved coming to Russell, Kansas, visiting his former grandparents, Bruce and Ruth Colhour, Olinda Rein and his many Rein cousins.  He

Wayne Edward Windholz, 72, of Victoria, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Russell Regional Hospital. Wayne was born October 20, 1947 in Hays, Kansas. He was the first of two sons born to Edward and Virginia (Weigel) Windholz. He grew up in the Gorham area and graduated from Gorham High School, Class of 1965. Wayne was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, enlisting in 1966. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the 27th Artillery Unit, reaching the rank of SP5. Upon completion of his service, he returned home to Gorham in 1969. He

Mary L. Holliday, 70, passed away on April 2nd, 2020, at UKMC Hays Campus in Hays, Kansas. Mary was born on January 21st, 1950, at Russell City Hospital, Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Virginia (Steinert) Boxberger.  She grew up in the Milberger community south of Russell. She attended Lincoln Township School north of Milberger for the first 8 grades, and finished her education at Russell High School. She was a retired registered nurse. Lucille M. Riedel, 95, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at the Main Street Manor in Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas. Services are pending at this time and cremation has been selected by the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
