Christopher Thomas Flores, 42, of Russell, Kansas, died on December 10, 2025, at his home in Russell.
Christopher was born on December 05, 1983, in Mission Hills, California, the son of Thomas and Tracey (King) Flores. He lived in California, Kansas, Colorado and Missouri. After high school he graduated with a degree in auto mechanics. He worked as a fireman, E.M.T., Emergency Management official and corrections officer. He loved going fishing and often traveled around Kansas and Colorado to fish his favorite spots and had a small fishing lure business call The Blind Fisherman where he sold hand painted lures all over the United States. The Blind Fisherman was published in Kansas Wildlife and Parks Magazine in 2022, showcasing his lures while inspiring others with disabilities to not give up.
He is survived by his mother Tracey King and daughter Jordan Flores both of Marquette, Kansas; brothers Lance Flores and Corey both of California; friend Paige Clenney and her children who he loved and adored like his own niece and nephew, Hadley and Palmer Clenney of Russell, Ks. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Flores.
Cremation was selected by the family, and a service will be held at a later date. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
