Darrell L. Fisher

Darrell L. Fisher,85, of Lakewood, Co. passed away on May 8,2026 at the Ciel Nursing Home in Lakewood, Co. He was born November 21, 1940 in Hays, Kansas, the only child of Fred Fisher of Bunker Hill, Ks and Cloral Fisher of Russell, Ks. He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1958. Darrell was married on September 2, 1961 to Barbara K. (Boxberger) Fisher in Milberger, Ks.

In 1961 he started work for the City of Russell as an electrical lineman, in 1967 he went to work for the Adolph Coors Company in Golden, for the next 30 years, where he managed all outside Electrical power. Upon retirement he and Barb were snowbirds and traveled and lived in the Southwest. In 2023 they moved back to Lakewood, Co. to be near family and friends.

Darrell is survived by his wife Barbara, son Darrell L. Fisher II (Houng),Lakewood, Co., grandsons, Clayton Fisher(Sami), and daughter Grace, Lakewood, Co., Ryan Fisher, Anchorage, Ak, stepson Huy Fisher, Lakewood, Co., sisters-in-laws Ellen Batt, Russell, Ks, Cindy Jackson(Henry) Lakewood, Co., goddaughter, Marcy Hollinger Rohr(Kent) Russell, Ks., godson, Mark Hulvey(Marie), McPherson, Ks and 5 nieces and 3 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Cloral Fisher.

Cremation was selected by the family.  Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas.  Services will conclude at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established with the Russell Masonic Lodge #177. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
