Genevieve Miller , 80 of Victoria and formerly of Lucas, died November 3, 2008 at St. John Health Center in Victoria . Genevieve was born August 1, 1928 in Russell County , the daughter of Jacob J. and Lydia (Becker) Miller.

Genevieve survived an automobile accident in September, 1929 near Ellsworth in which her mother did not. She has had to deal with medical problems all her life and was a resident of Beverly Health and Rehab, later known as Golden Living Center in Lucas for thirty-five years.

Surviving family include a nephew, Herbert Miller, Jr. and wife Lil of Thorton , Colorado ; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1929, her father in 1950; and four brothers, Leonard, Herbert, Othmar and Ben.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Russell. There is no visitation, cremation has preceded the services. A memorial has been established as Genevieve Miller Memorial. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary who are in charge of the arrangements.
