Karen Edwards

Karen Sue Edwards, 59, of Ellsworth and former Russell resident, died on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Ellsworth County Medical Center .
Karen was born on July 29, 1950 in Russell , Kansas the daughter of McKinley Roy and Kathryn Elizabeth (Ehrlich) Edwards. She grew up in the Russell area and spent most of her life in and around Russell. She enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. She was a dear and precious child of God who spread love and joy to everyone around her and to all who knew her. Her shining light of love will be deeply missed by those who love her.

She is survived by her four cousins Judy Stielow & Steve Ehrlich, Larry Ehrlich & Sherry Dimon and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell. A private burial will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Russell. Visitation will be from 8 AM to 5 PM on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary. A memorial has been established with the Mosaic Care Center of Ellsworth.
