Melvin G. Bricker

Melvin George Bricker, 86, died on December 30, 2012, in San Marcos, Texas.

Melvin was born on October 09, 1926, the son of William Robert and Edna (May) Bricker.  When he was old enough he joined the United States Army and fought during World War II in Asia and served with the 112th Cavalry Regiment.  He was united in marriage to Sammie Lee Steward and worked as a production supervisor.  He was a life member of the Russell V.F.W. Post 6240.

Surviving family include his wife Sammie of the home, sons Darick and Craig Bricker and daughter Carol Wissman.

A funeral service for Melvin will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, January 05, 2013, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell with Pastor Earl Haggard officiating.  A private burial will take place following the service at the mortuary.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
