Norman J. Peck, 69, of Wichita, Kansas, formerly of Bunker Hill, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 18m, 2025 at the Via Christi – St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

J. was born February 6, 1956, in Russell, Kansas. He was one of three children born to Wayne L. and Patricia (Kurtz) Peck. He grew up in Bunker Hill and attended schools in Bunker Hill and Russell. He graduated from Russell High School in the Class of 74. He then attended a Mechanic Vo-Tech school in Wichita.

J. was a mechanic most of his life. He worked as a Compressor Tech with Air Capital and Kaeser in Wichita. He was a mechanic for Conklin Cars and before that was the owner and operator of Peck Service in Bunker Hill. He moved to Wichita in 2001. He was a member of the Bunker Hill Lions Club and the PADI Scuba Diving Organization. He enjoyed fixing and tinkering with items, bowling and Nascar. He was a simple and quiet man that loved his family very much.

J’s surviving family include his daughter, Anna Martin of Conway, North Carolina; brother, Gordon Peck (Ellen) of McPherson, Kansas; sister, Teri Wannamaker (Pete) of Topeka, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Bunker Hill City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial has been established with the Bunker Hill Museum. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
