Richard Dale Ehrlich , 69 of Granbury , Texas , passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Granbury.

He was born September 4, 1938 in Russell, the son of John George and Ollive (Francis) Ehrlich-Newman.

He was united in marriage to Amy Maureen Lawrence on December 12, 1992 in Granbury.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in Hawaii . Milt Ginther and Richard were the owners and operators of G&E Engine Service in Russell. He also was employed as an oilfield mechanic.

Richard’s surviving family include his wife Amy Ehrlich of Granbury, Texas; children Allen Werner of Florida, Michael Werner of Tennessee, George Ehrlich and Scott Ehrlich both of Granbury, Texas, and Pam Smith of Acton, Texas; sisters, Frances Staab of Great Bend, Kansas, Doris Keller of Russell, Kansas and Judith McLennan of Erikson, Manitoba, Canada; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Granbury Church of God. A private inurnment will be held at a later date in St. John Lutheran Cemetery . Condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell or via email at www.pvpmortuary.com.
