Marceline A. (Mitchell) Bender, 96, lifelong resident of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2023 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell. Marceline was born March 9, 1927 in Russell.  She was the daughter of Oscar R. and Margaret (Benso) Mitchell.  She grew up on the Mitchell homestead south of Russell.  She attended West Kennebec School and later graduated from Russell High School in 1944.  After high school, she briefly attended business school with her sister, Glenna.  She then worked for her Aunt Glennadine and husband Leo. Larry C. MacIntire, 76, of Natoma, Kansas, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at his home. Larry was born August 18, 1946 in Ludlow, Massachusetts.  He was one of two children born to Wesley C. and Elizabeth A. (Broadbent) MacIntire.  Larry grew up in Wilbraham, Massachusetts and graduated from Minnechaug High School in Wilbraham. After high school, Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He served on the USS Ticonderoga and the USS Tutuila. Rocky L. Yoder, 68, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. Rocky was born November 17, 1954 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado .  He was one of five children born to Wilbur and Phyllis (Bedker) Yoder.  At the age of 12 he started working in construction with his father.  In high school he became interested in Rodeo bull riding.  He then attended two years at Sterling College before he started working at the Arabian Horse Registry in Illinois.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Master’s degree in Business.
