Dennis Henry Kilian, 78, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Friday evening, June 5, 2020 at his residence. Dennis was born November 29, 1941 in Russell, Kansas. He was one of five children born to Sam and Alma (Mai) Kilian. He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the Class of ’59. Dennis worked for Praytor Construction and Pipeline for over 16 years laying pipe. He also was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Russell. Marjoane Louise (Petersen) Frost, 87, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas with her family by her side. Marjoane was born June 7, 1932 in Tilden, Nebraska. She was one of six children born to Earl R. and Olive A. (Wagner) Petersen. She grew up on a farm near Tilden and graduated from Tilden High School. Marjoane was united in marriage to John W. Frost on June 15, 1952 in Neligh, Nebraska. This union was blessed with five children; Carol, John, Gerald, Joan and Shirley. They made their home in
Richard L. Lewis, 80, of Henderson Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, June 2 in Henderson, Nevada. Richard was born in Russell Kansas, to Joseph Victor Lewis and Edna Ruth Lewis on December 10, 1939. Richard completed a Master’s Degree in mathematics from Pittsburg State University. After graduation, he enjoyed teaching college-level mathematics at Pittsburg State University in Kansas and Hayward State College in California. Richard transitioned to college administration where he enjoyed working as the Registrar at several Universities in Texas, South Dakota, and Arkansas. Viola was born on October 23,1917, in Drumright, Oklahoma. On August 24, 1940, she married Ivan E. Jeannie was born December 20, 1929 on the family farm in Barton County, Kansas. She was one of seventeen children to Henry and Mollie (Miller) Wilhelm. She grew up on the farm in northern Barton County and attended country schools. Jeannie was united in marriage to Jerry Dean Bailey on February 25, 1949 in Russell, Kansas. Theodore “Ted” Gepner, Jr, 92, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home in Russell. Ted was born May 9, 1928 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Theodore, Sr. and Sara (Middleton) Gepner. He grew up and attended school in Clay Center. Ted was united in marriage to Helen Kurtenbach in July of 1952. This union was blessed with two daughters, Jody and Wava. Later in life, he was united in marriage to Carol Newman in February of 2011. Ted worked in the highway construction business for over 36 years as a heavy equipment operator.

Don was united in marriage to Mary Ann Weigel on January 13, 1950 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with six children; Sheila, Sam, Sonya, Don, Jr., Christopher and Dwight. Glenda Rae Tiffin, 84, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Smoky Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Salina, Kansas. Glenda was born on January 14, 1936, in Blue Rapids, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Fletcher) Nance. She grew up in Marysville, Kansas, and graduated from Marysville High School in 1954. She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Donald Glen Tiffin on September 01, 1979, in Lincoln, Kansas. They made their home in Russell, Kansas, and lived in Russell for 34 years. Donald preceded her in death on May 04, 2014.
