Bryan D. Sellens

Bryan Douglas Sellens, 50, of Ft. Worth, Texas and former Kansas resident, died on Friday, October 07, 2022, at his home in Ft. Worth.

Bryan was born January 18th, 1972 to loving parents Mr. Glen Dale Sellens and Mrs. Gloria Maria Morgenstern (Sellens-Funk).  He was born in the town of Russell, Kansas.  Bryan graduated high school from Hays High School in Hays, Kansas.  He went on later to earn a Bachelor’s degree, and loved working as a Software Engineer.

Bryan loved a variety of hobbies including playing pool, wood working (carpentry), nature walks, and sporting events.  He was a fan of all Texas sporting teams, including the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, Mavericks, and especially the Cowboys.  Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, his daughters and grandchildren holding a special place in his heart.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Glen Dale Sellens, and his sister, Sheri Sellens.

Bryan is survived by his mother, Gloria Maria Funk; brother, Steve Sellens; daughters, Haley Sellens, Raiya Sellens, and Regan Sellens, step-daughters, Arin Foster and Aston Foster, and 3 grandchildren, Brynlee, Anden, and Averly.

A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas.  Family will greet guests the day of the service from 10 A.M. to service time.  A graveside service will be held later that day at 2 P.M. at the United Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Milberger, Kansas.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
