Martin Lloyd Schneider, 64, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, February 07, 2023, at the Russell Regional Hospital emergency room.
Martin was born on June 06, 1958, in Russell, Kansas, the son of Lloyd Raymond and Marjorie Louise (Hoopes) Schneider. Martin grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1977. Martin met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Deborah Ann Sipes on June 06, 1991 in Gorham, Kansas. He worked as a custodian at Bickerdyke Elementary in Russell for 12 years and was a clerk for 22 years at the Russell Coast to Coast Store. He enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking and loved helping children, spending time with his nieces and nephews and making them smile and laugh. He especially loved driving with his dog up and down the street on his lawnmower.
Surviving family include sister Alice Morris and husband Derrick of Coffeyville, Kansas, his brother Henry Schneider of Salina, Kansas; sisters Beverly Hartsook of Russell, Kansas and Diane Bell and husband Tom of Emporia, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Deborah on April 05, 2012, daughter Alicia Marie Schneider, brother Tim Schneider and sister Carlene Schneider. Cremation has been selected by the family. A graveside memorial service to celebrate Martin’s life will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Russell City Cemetery. The family requests donation be given to the mortuary to help with funeral expenses. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
