Caroline Julia (Stos) Revell, 85, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell.
Caroline was born March 27, 1935 in Great Bend, Kansas. She was the daughter of Adolph R. and Otillia W. (Suchy) Stos. She grew up in Jetmore, Kansas and graduated from Jetmore High School in the class of 1953. After high school she attended St. Rose Nurses Training in Great Bend, Kansas. She later attended Barton County Community College.
Caroline was united in marriage to Don J. Revell on May 14, 1955 in Raton, New Mexico. This union was blessed with three sons, Donnie, Terry and Roy. In 1968 they moved to Russell, Kansas. Don preceded her in death on December 9, 2012. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #6240 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Surviving immediate family include her sons, Donnie Revell of Russell, Kansas and Terry Revell (Nancy) of Winfield, Kansas; two grandchildren, Tara Duncan (Taylor) of Winfield, Kansas, and Sadie Revell of Overland Park, Kansas; and three great grandchildren, Ella Duncan, Grady Duncan and Lane Duncan.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Melvin Stos and Eugene Stos: husband Don, and infant son Roy Alan Revell.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, July 17, 2020, at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell. Cremation has been selected by the family and they will greet guests the day of the service. Memorials can be given to the Russell Food Pantry or Dream Theater and sent in care of the mortuary. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
