Dalton L. Frost

Dalton Lynn Frost, 30, passed away on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at his home in Gorham, KS.

Dalton and his identical twin brother, Dakota, were born on September 16th, 1992, in Hays, KS to Gerald and Vickie Frost. His childhood and school years were spent spread between Salina, Russell, and Natoma, KS. His adult life was spent mainly in Colorado and Russell working in the fencing business and in several different areas in the oilfield. He was one of the hardest workers anyone ever knew.

Dalton and his twin were daredevils from the start and lived life at full speed. He loved being in the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, going to the lake, or just driving on country roads for hours. There wasn’t a mechanical issue that he couldn’t solve or a tool he couldn’t reinvent to get the job done. He loved cracking open a cold one and shooting the breeze with his friends and family. His daughter, Kenlee, was his world and he did anything and everything he could for her. Dalton never knew a stranger because anyone he met automatically became his friend. His big smile, loving hugs, and great sense of humor would make anyone’s day better. He would do anything for anyone and was selfless to a fault. His family, daughter, and close friends meant everything to him and are the reason he stayed on Earth as long as he did.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Dakota; his paternal and maternal grandparents; three uncles; two aunts; and a niece.

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Frost (Leonard Boese) of Susank, KS; his father, Gerald Frost of Russell, KS; his daughter, Kenlee Peterson, and his son, Jaxon Casper, both of Russell, KS; his sister, Amanda Fabian Valadez (Enoe) of Russell, KS; his sister, Amber Frost of Lawrence, KS; his brothers Shane Michaelis and Ethan Frost (Justus), both of Russell, KS; his many beloved nieces and nephews: Braden, Gianna, Arya, Isabella, Briley, Haven, Zane, Nevaeh, Alieah, Matteo, Little Ethan, Ryker, Valencia, and Xavier; and by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

There will be a gathering at Pohlman Varner Peeler Mortuary on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to sign the guest book, visit with the family, pay respects, and view memory boards. At a later, warmer date, a larger celebration of life event will take place outdoors. When the date, time, and location of this event are decided, they will be announced by both the mortuary and family. Cremation has been chosen and there will be no internment at this time.  Any donations to help with funeral expenses can be given directly to the mortuary and made payable to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary * 610 N. Maple St. * Russell, Kansas  67665.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
